Lakisha Harris, CHES

Lakisha HarrisAs Director of Support Programs, Lakisha leads the Hydrocephalus Association’s support operations, overseeing the strategy, implementation, and evaluation of all support initiatives. She develops and monitors key support benchmarks and manages a national network of more than 100 volunteer leaders, guiding their recruitment, training, engagement, and ongoing evaluation. Lakisha also designs and maintains efficient systems that deliver high-quality support to individuals living with hydrocephalus, their caregivers, and medical professionals. She collaborates closely with internal teams, healthcare providers, and community partners to ensure support services are accurate, responsive, and aligned with the needs of the community.

Lakisha is passionate about connecting individuals to health information and resources to help them achieve a good quality of life. With more than 15 years of experience in public health, she has led and managed programs focused on expanding access to lifestyle change resources. Her ability to communicate effectively across diverse audiences—including public health professionals, physicians, and community members—has consistently resulted in high-quality program implementation and measurable improvements in the lives of those served.

Lakisha received a Bachelor of Science in Community Health from the University of Maryland College Park, School of Public Health and a Master of Science in Health Education and Promotion from Walden University.
