Every year, over 14,000 people participate in a WALK to End Hydrocephalus in their area. The WALKs raise critical funds for the Hydrocephalus Association’s education, support, and research efforts and provide an opportunity for individuals and families to connect with others impacted by hydrocephalus. The WALK is also a great way to support a friend, colleague or family member living with this condition. Every dollar gets us closer to a cure!<\/p>\n

Turn Your Event into a Fundraiser<\/h2>\n

Do you have a favorite hobby or are you planning a celebration? Then, turn it into a fundraiser for the Hydrocephalus Association. Through our Just Giving Do It Yourself tool, you can turn any fun activity into a fundraising campaign, whether it’s a 5K race, a graduation, poker game or golf tournament!<\/p>\n

Start a School WALK<\/h2>\n

HA’s Kids to Cure Hydrocephalus, or School WALKS, is an exciting way for kids to get involved. Coordinated by volunteers, typically parents of children who live with the challenges of hydrocephalus, a School WALK is a fun and effective way to educate the kids in your community about the condition and another great fundraising tool. This is also a great opportunity for students with community service commitments. The HA staff and the Kids to Cure Hydrocephalus Kit will help you and your child plan and organize your own School WALK! These events are less time-consuming than a larger HA community WALK, making them a great option for those who have limited time but want to help make a difference. Although most often conducted when a child with hydrocephalus is of elementary school age it can be held for kids of any age.<\/p>\n
