Understanding Neuropsychological Testing in Hydrocephalus: Developing a Web-Based Assessment
Neuropsychological testing can provide valuable insights into how hydrocephalus affects memory, attention, thinking, and daily functioning. In this webinar, Dr. Catherine Stephan will give an overview of what neuropsychological testing is, why it is used, and how it helps clinicians understand changes in brain function for people living with hydrocephalus. She will also introduce her research exploring a new telemedicine-based assessment approach designed to monitor cognitive changes that may signal shunt malfunction. By combining traditional neuropsychological tests with simple tasks and online tools, this project aims to develop a convenient, repeatable way to track cognitive health remotely. Join us to learn how this work could help create more accessible tools for monitoring brain function and improving care for individuals with hydrocephalus.
